At Baskèts, we understand that the fashion industry has a significant environmental impact, and we recognize that our operations contribute to that. However, we are committed to minimizing our footprint as much as possible. From the fabrics we choose to the practices we implement, we strive to make more sustainable decisions every day. We believe that every step towards sustainability counts, and we’re constantly working to find ways to reduce waste, energy consumption, and emissions.

Why We Charge for Shipping and Returns

Shipping and returns play a major role in the environmental impact of e-commerce. Each delivery and return adds to carbon emissions, and packaging waste can quickly accumulate. To discourage unnecessary shipments, we charge a fee for returns and shipping. By asking our customers to be mindful of their purchases and avoid multiple returns, we hope to reduce the environmental impact of items being shipped back and forth without reaching their final destination.

Store Pickup and Returns

If you choose to pick up your order in-store or when you are located in Amsterdam, we encourage you to return any items directly at the store as well. This helps us reduce the environmental burden of shipping returns and allows us to process your return more efficiently. By returning items in-store, you are helping to minimize unnecessary transportation and the associated carbon footprint.

Repair Over Replacement

At Baskèts, we believe in extending the life of your clothing. That’s why, when items are damaged or faulty, we prefer to offer warranty through repair rather than replacement. This approach helps reduce waste and supports the idea that clothing should be long-lasting. By prioritizing repair over replacement, we encourage our customers to take care of their garments and contribute to a more sustainable fashion industry. If this concerns a production error or an error on our part, we will of course reimburse the costs.
