Heritage & Philosophy

RoToTo was founded in 2014 by designer Koshiro Hidaka with a singular vision: to create “lifelong consumables” that bring joy every day. Based in Nara Prefecture, the heart of Japan’s sock‑making industry since 1910, RoToTo collaborates directly with local craftsmen, preserving century‑old weaving traditions.

Signature Aesthetic & Materials

Every pair of RoToTo socks is knitted on vintage American machines brought to Nara in the early 20th century, ensuring slow, precise stitching and a unique hand‑feel. The brand uses premium yarns, 100 % organic cotton, soft merino blends and plush double‑face constructions, to deliver exceptional durability, comfort and texture in small‑batch runs.

Brand Vision & Evolution

Rooted in craftsmanship, RoToTo continually refines its collection through close feedback with wearers and factory partners. Beyond classic crew and quarter socks, the label has expanded into beanies and scarves: always mindful of its “small, good things” ethos. With each release, RoToTo deepens its commitment to quality, sustainability and the art of slow production.
