Some silhouettes never really disappear.
They simply wait for the right moment to return.

The Dr. Martens Lowell is one of them. Originally pulled from the brand’s deep archives and reintroduced last year, the Lowell quickly became one of our favourite Dr. Martens silhouettes at Baskèts. This season it returns in an expanded range of materials and colours, each bringing its own distinct character.
From the high-shine finish of the Lowell Cherry Red Lacquered Leather, to the bold texture of the Olive Green Pebble Emboss Hair On, and the softer, refined feel of the Dusty Rose Milled Nubuck WP.

To mark this launch, we collaborated with Amsterdam-based artist Robin Kapitein. What started in 2015 as a fascination with traditional stained glass - discovered during his work as a painter - has grown into a full-time studio practice in Amsterdam Noord. For our Jordaan store, Robin created a custom stained-glass installation that visually translates the craftsmanship behind the Lowell.
Watching Robin at work makes the connection obvious. The way he assembles glass, layer by layer, mirrors the construction of the Lowell. For both the artist and Dr. Martens, it’s about hand-finished details. The details that ultimately define character.
