A day on Texel with Asics

To celebrate the ASICS GEL-TRANSCEND FJ, we left Amsterdam behind for a day on Texel, guided by ASICS’ Sound Mind, Sound Body philosophy. Together with a small group of amazing guests, we explored the island through movement, nature, food and most importantly time spent together.

The day unfolded through four elements, each offering a different way to experience the island. We started off on bikes headed to the Wadden Sea, picking oysters straight from the oyster banks, before heading to the dike for lunch and a walk along the coast. From there, we made our way into the forest, ending the day around a fire as we wired down and the sun went down.

The experience brought together Isa Yasmijn, Michiel van Maaren, Henty van Holthe, Ruben Schipper, Sil Oosterbaan, Janneke van Ooij and Ariella Rae, together with Op Oost, creating a day rooted in movement, exploration and connection.

Asics Gel Transcend FJ

At the centre of the day was the GEL-TRANSCEND FJ, a new silhouette that looks to ASICS’ outdoor archive for inspiration. Drawing on hiking and walking shoes from the ’90s, the design brings together details inspired by iconic ASICS models, while the rugged sole references the brand’s trailrunning heritage.

The Ash Green and Black Coffee colourway keeps the look muted, with textured details and a bold sole adding depth. Its outdoor character felt at home on Texel, while the everyday silhouette made it just as natural to wear back in the city.

A day shaped by movement, nature and time spent together, with the GEL-TRANSCEND FJ at the centre of it all.
