The Saucony Trainer 80 together with JUKI Amsterdam

A simple idea turned into something much bigger. JUKI Amsterdam a vintage design furniture concept, started as a way to clear out some space at home but quickly became a physical space and online platform for vintage design lovers. More then just a store, JUKI is a reflection of personal taste, an appreciation for craftsmanship and a belief that every piece deserves a second life.

From instagram shop to showroom
Jules and Kim, the duo behind JUKI, first began selling their own furniture via Instagram during the pandemic. What started casually evolved into a quickly growing business. The pandemic made a lot of people realise that decorating your home can feel just as good as putting together a great outfit,” they explain.

Today JUKI’s showroom in Amsterdam opens its doors every Saturday, welcoming visitors who come to browse new arrivals, pick up an order, or to stop by for a chat. ‘It’s important to see and feel these pieces in real life.” they say. “Most of them have been around for years, carrying stories that deserve to be shared.” During the week, they’re busy sourcing new finds, shipping orders worldwide, and carefully documenting each item before uploading fresh drops every Thursday.

A personal approach to curation
Rather than chasing trends, JUKI follows intuition. We don’t try to stand out from other vintage dealers, we just buy what we personally love, things we’d put in our own home.” This makes their collection feel authentic and personal. Their latest discovery? A rare early edition Artek stool, instantly recognisable by its signature finger-joint construction and unique screws. They also recently picked up a set of vintage lamps from a private collector who shared incredible details about their origins, reminding them how much there is still to uncover in the world of design.

Opening their showroom has been a major milestone. “We never planned for it, but it just made sense.” Now, as they expand their space, they’re looking forward to working with brands and creatives who inspire them.

Timeless design, from furniture to sneakers

Their approach extends beyond furniture, it shapes how they view sneakers and style too. While they once chased every new drop, their focus has shifted to timeless, well made designs. The Saucony Trainer 80 is a perfect example: a ‘70s classic reimagined for today, seamlessly fitting into JUKI’s vintage meets modern aesthetic.

At its core, JUKI is built on a simple philosophy: buy what you love, mix what works, and let each piece tell its own story. Whether in furniture or fashion, their approach proves that great design never fades, it just finds new ways to live on.
