Collection: Heresy

HERESY is a brand that produces seasonal clothing collections influenced by the research and exploration of Folklore. As well as clothing they make handmade art objects, produce events, program music projects, and print small-press publications.

Heritage & Philosophy

Originating in 2012 from Peckham’s creative arches, Heresy is a London‑born label built on a fascination with folklore and mysticism. Founded by two longtime collaborators, the brand draws on Britain’s rich narrative traditions, ranging from Alpine village dances to river‑spirit legends, to inform each collection’s concept and visual language.

Signature Aesthetic & Materials

Heresy garments fuse graphic motifs and artisanal techniques. Core pieces, hoodies, tees and sweats, feature hand‑applied prints, tonal embroidery and jacquard knits that echo folkloric symbols like the demon, the idol and the portal. Fabrics span heavyweight organic cottons and technical blends, all produced in small, themed runs to preserve the collection’s cohesive narrative.

Brand Vision & Evolution

Beyond apparel, Heresy extends its storytelling through art objects, music projects and pop‑up events. Each release begins with field research into a specific folklore strand, ensuring graphics, cut‑and‑sew pieces and editorial content form a unified thematic journey. As the brand matures, it deepens its exploration of British identity: crafting each drop as both a fashion statement and a living archive of cultural memory
