Café Baskèts at Schiphol
In November 2026, Baskèts opens a new 500 m² location at Schiphol Airport, where retail and hospitality come together.
Baskèts is a premium lifestyle retailer rooted in Amsterdam. Across our stores and online platform, we curate a sharp edit of sneakers, clothing, accessories and lifestyle products, combining product, inspiration and experience in one place.
Café Baskèts Schiphol will feel more like a cosy living room than a traditional grab-and-go airport café, a place where people can slow down, relax and enjoy a glass of wine, a beer, good food and great coffee before their flight.
We're building a team of warm, energetic people with a natural sense of hospitality who enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and working together in a fast-paced environment.
Open positions
As General Manager, you'll build the team, work the floor yourself, and make sure every guest gets a great experience from coffee, serving beer to service. You're responsible for daily operations, staff planning, quality, and atmosphere, working closely with the Baskèts team to launch this new location.
What we're looking for:
- Experience as a (assistant) manager in hospitality or retail, ideally in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Someone who takes initiative, thinks along, and brings the team with them
- Affinity with the Baskèts brand experience: premium, no-nonsense, welcoming
- Flexibility to work at Schiphol (varying shifts, including early/late hours)
- A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and willingness to complete the airport screening (requires 8 consecutive years of residence in the Netherlands)

As Assistant Manager, you love hospitality and lead by example: jumping between service, food, drinks, and people whenever the floor needs it. You support the General Manager in daily operations, keep quality and pace consistent during peak hours, and help build a team that delivers the Baskèts experience from day one.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in hospitality or retail, ideally in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- A true operator: hands-on, calm under pressure, comfortable switching between tasks
- Someone who leads by doing, not just delegating
- Affinity with the Baskèts brand experience: premium, no-nonsense, welcoming
- Flexibility to work at Schiphol (varying shifts, including early/late hours)
- A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and willingness to complete the airport screening (requires 8 consecutive years of residence in the Netherlands)

The Process
As Café Baskèts is located airside at Schiphol Airport, all team members are required to complete a security screening and airport pass application.
This process can take up to 4 weeks, so we're looking for applicants who are ready to commit to the opportunity.
